THE WOMAN BEHIND MISSROSLIN

This Is My Story

I didn't create MissRoslin because I wanted to teach women about money. I created it because I learned firsthand what financial independence really means.

I've always believed I could stand on my own two feet.

I studied business and finance at university, but more than that, I had always seen myself as a capable and independent woman.

I was the woman who moved to Australia on her own to study. After university, I moved to the UK without knowing a single person and built a career with a large international company. A few years later, I packed up my life again and moved to Spain on my own, where I went on to manage another international business before eventually building a profitable business of my own.

For 17 years, I built and ran my own business in Marbella. Alongside it, I worked across different areas of finance, the field I have always been most passionate about.

By the age of 42, I owned the apartment we lived in and a profitable business, both in my own name.

On paper, I was exactly the woman who was supposed to feel safe.

Then my marriage ended

Alongside the sadness and sense of failure that came with divorce, there was one unexpected emotion that completely consumed me:

For days, I was paralysed by it.
Until one day, my brother, who was with me at the time, finally asked me:

“What exactly are you so afraid of?”

Without hesitation, I replied:

“I'm afraid that Khloe and I will end up on the street.”

He looked at me in disbelief and said:

“Do you realise how many people would have to die before that happens? Me, our sister, our parents, your best friends... just to name a few."

He was right. Logically, the fear made no sense.
But fear isn't logical.

Fear.

So I did what I knew how to do. I looked at the numbers.

I've always trusted numbers. In fact, I often say that numbers are the only things that don't lie.
So one day, I sat down and looked at the facts.
I went through my bank accounts and statements and worked out exactly what I needed to feel financially safe.

The exact figure I now call my Foundation Number™.

And then something happened that I didn't expect.
I looked at that number and thought:

For the first time since the divorce, I could breathe again.
The fear didn't disappear overnight, but it loosened its grip.
I finally felt safe.

“Oh... that's all I need? I already have that.”

Then I started noticing something.

I started seeing other women going through similar struggles.
Clever, capable women. The kind everyone assumes have it all together. Women who wanted to leave unhappy relationships, difficult jobs or situations that no longer felt right, but couldn't.

They didn't lack courage. They certainly didn't lack intelligence. What they lacked was financial independence.

Some lacked money of their own. But many simply lacked the confidence and security that comes from understanding their numbers and knowing they would be okay.

And I realised that this wasn't just my story.

Financial Freedom isn't about being rich.

The choice to stay because you want to, and the freedom to leave because you can.
It's about knowing that if life changes tomorrow, you'll be okay.
It's about having a foundation strong enough that your decisions aren't made from fear.
That's what financial freedom means to me.

It's about Choice.

That's why I created MissRoslin.

Today, my mission is to empower women to understand money, build financial confidence and create the financial security that gives them true freedom of choice.

I don’t believe women need to become financial experts. But I do believe every woman should understand her own financial position, know what she needs to feel financially secure and have a strategy for building her future.

Financial knowledge shouldn’t be intimidating, complicated or reserved for people who already understand the system.

It should be accessible to every woman.

Today, I bring both worlds together.

My career has given me experience from two very different perspectives:
building a business and working in finance.

Today, I work in wealth management with very High-Net-Worth individuals, while building MissRoslin as a financial education and empowerment platform for women.

Through financial education, coaching, workshops and practical tools, I help women understand their money, build financial confidence and make more informed decisions about their future.

Because understanding your money changes what you believe is possible.

When I look back, I see her differently now.

When I look back at photographs from the period of my divorce, I can see the sadness in my eyes.
I see a woman carrying far more fear than she ever admitted, trying her best to hold everything together while quietly wondering whether she would be okay.
More than anything, today, I want to hug that version of me and tell her:

Because we were.
And that is what I want every woman who comes to MissRoslin to know.

You don’t need to know exactly what the future holds. You need to know that you have the knowledge, financial foundation and choices to face it.

“We’re going to be okay.”

Your financial future starts with understanding where you stand today,
